I have seen the phenomenon in Midnight Oil. I’ve seen it in R.E.M. I don’t know if it is a scientific truism, but to the voters of this post, baldness equals leadership. So, congrats to Baldy! You’re in charge!

    I was thinking Baldy too, but it would be so painfully obvious. I pick the dude in the back/middle–note the pulling of perspective with both smaller size and farthest away positioning to draw the eye back there to him. Plus, that hair looks like an infected mushroom to me.

    I’m going with Mr. Spock far left. He’s far right’s father and the rest are far right’s friends Far left has the money, so he’s the decider of Infected Mushroom, a name he came up with in his affected youth in the the sixties when his own parents were always trippin’. They’d tell him to leave them alone because they were sick and they didn’t want him to become infected.

    I think this blog would be more interesting if you spent time analyzing, AFTER the voting’s done, why it is that the “winner” appears to so many to be the leader.

    For example, in this image I would say that there’s at least one more factor going on than just the baldness: he stands out because he’s the only person whose entire torso we can actually see. He’s in the forefront of the image, the closest to us, even if it is only by half a step.

    I do sporadically offer my two cents regarding elements of a photo that might cause a voter to favor one member over another.

    I don’t know, it’s just a feeling thing for me when I do and when I don’t… I try to be careful not to put too much of my opinion into the posts, even after the voting is done. I think it would somehow take the air out of other people’s opinions if I was too assertive with my own.

    I like it better when people like yourself give an educated analysis!

    until now it was very funny
    espacialy since I know the real facts, I happend to know this band very good.
    I dont know if its part of the game but it looks like a lot of time has passed since the last post so its time to tell the facts.
    if you dont want to know stop reading now!!!

    actualy only two out of the 5 are members of the band, its the boldy in the front and the young guy near the old guy in the left.
    the other 3 are the drummer in the middle (until then they used techo drums) and the old guy and the young guy in the far right and left are 2 guitar players maybe they are father and son but I dont think so.
    (originaly, the young guy is the synth player and boldy is the DJ and the singer, they were a psytrance dual). recently they have added the other 3 giving there band a more psycodelic rock style then goa trance they were.
    regard the new 3 as far as I know until now they were not officaily excepted to the band as members and only preform on live shows, none of them participate in the group albums (they are recording a new record now so maybe it will change)
    there new version is receiving great reviews and many consider them to be the next big thing (there music is very jumpy and original in many aspects).

    regard the name… well they are a psytrance group and the name comes directly from it (infected mushroom implies the starting matrial which LSD is made of)
    and is in my opinion normal name (and in some way you can say even sophisticated) in the psytrance world (names such as asterix, astral projection…) all related to psycodelic, drugs and spirtuality

    regard whos the leader
    well out of the dual I would say they are equal, were the bold (nickname duvdev btw) is the more extrogant and is incharge of the band publicity while the young (named erez) is the real musicition whos realy the brain behind the band music. in that manner they contridict each other perfectly
    if you must you can say boldy is the leader.
    so most of you were right
