    I disagree – I’m going with the guy at the top in the fedora with the tureen of hot liquid he is going to dump on the heads of his unsuspecting bandmates ladle-full by ladle-full. Perhaps he is the conductor of madness of the group. He looks sufficiently unhinged.

    hmmm, it might be pied piper or tureen boy, or the large face at the base. but my vote goes to the only one with some air of maturity: mr. suit-n-tie-n-beret, slightly nw of center.

    This is what happens when the children of ABBA meet the children of Roxette. Kind of a Swedish Wilson Phillips.

    Right off, you can eliminate the women. One is playing the violin, another the accordion. The third is too far in the background. By the same standards, you can eliminate the guy in the way back and the dude up front holding the woodwind (clarinet? oboe?).

    I think our leader is standing on the right. Let’s call him Bjorn. If I were Swedish and in a position of power, I’d hope that’d be my name.

    My vote goes to the unpictured person who wedged the couch in the stairs forcing the band to get stuck behind it when the photographer showed up. The inept mover is accidentally in charge.

    The blonde girl next to standing-up-crotch-shot guy. She has this smug little look on her face as if to say “haha they totally dont know about the trap door im sitting on. they’re gonna get stuck here while i casually drop out of frame”

    What are you doing to me, Splotchy? This is the second week in a row I havent found an obscure, out of focus object to vote for.

    At first I thought it was the smug guy on the lower left, but there’s no way a clarinet player can lead a band any more. (It’s long past the days of Artie Shaw, Benny Goodman, etc.)

    So I’m going to the guy on the middle right, the one who, as BeckEye said, “made sure his penis was in the picture.”

    clarinet player has got lipstick which at first made me think he was the leader, but then i realized that the homeless man in the very front looks like he’s taking the photo in a very myspace-selfphoto manner [as in holding up camera to self and posing in very affected way, as he is doing here]. and amazingly enough, he’s managed to get everyone into the frame and maintain his carefully thought-out pose. as a bonus, he looks like he’s licking his teeth [clearly checking himself out in the camera viewfinder thingy].

    what a cool guy. he’s definitely In Charge.
