Am I the only one who thinks White Pants is channeling the look of a mid-70’s Steve Perry? Really? I am the only one? I feel so alone.

    I thought that possibly we would have a band with no distinct leader – this is a band in perfect symmetry. But then the one guy on the couch ruined it – he’s looking too intently at the guy on the left to make sure he is doing an exact mirror image of his actions. White Shirt On The Left is The Leader!

    From left to right: bass player, drummer, guitarist, vocals.

    singer is always in charge.

    i was briefly perplexed as to why the drummer and guitarist were sitting on the couch while the lead singer had to sit on the arm, but then i realized the picture was taken at the drummer’s mom’s house.

    This is hard – but I am going for Mr. White trousers/white scarf confidently posed on the right arm of the sofa.

    – white scarf
    – white pants
    – highest in frame
    – right side
    – looking at camera
    – most-visible eyes
    – best posture

    All of these would normally point to being “in charge”. In this case however, the “Van Halen” effect overrides all of that, and Mr. Upperright is just a frontman a la David Lee Roth. The two brothers sitting lower on the couch started the band. Alex Des Graciados on the left plays drums, and Eddie Des Graciados on the lower right is lead guitar – and in charge.

    Seems to me these guys could be called Los Ramones, and therefore be named Jose, Juan, Marco, y Dee Dee.

    Jose would be the sloucher, seated second from left. This judgment is based mostly on hairstyle. Jose es el capitan.

    The arm perching chaps are doing as per instructions, right on the sofa guy seems to be asking for something, a pay rise? a lift home? validation?

    Man the right just looks like he can’t be a****, therefore disinterest is the winner and he is in charge,

    Clearly Mr. Whitepants is in charge, but he doesn’t do a very good job. When he told everyone, “Okay, I’m setting the camera timer now, get ready!” they didn’t even bother rousing themselves into an acceptable pose. Revolution is in the air.

    Seated guy on the left. He’s all laid back like he just got laid, and we all know that the singers get laid the most. Plus, he’s in the power position with the guitarist next to him and the drummer/keyboardist/bassist/whoever sitting above him, lovingly trying to cradle his head.

    at first i figured crotch-grabber on the left was In Charge but then i realized the he’s also fondling the hair of the guy next to him, who is gazing lovingly at the guitar player on his right who is doing the same to him. whitepants on the right has made the executive decision to stay out of the orgy and is therefore In Charge.
