The Process:
You, dear reader, please answer the question, “Who’s in charge here?”

After sufficient discussion has taken place, a verdict can then be passed based on a majority vote.

As the voters have clearly indicated, the top of a pyramid does not a leader make — maybe the top is just the skinniest dude.

Of course if the skinniest guy in your band is Iggy Pop, then the leader very well might top the pyramid (please don’t make me be under Iggy Pop in a pyramid, I beg of you).

But enough about the politics of pyramids, it really doesn’t matter. The Girl is in charge! Congrats to The Girl!

    I was initially temped to guess that the person on top of the pyramid was in charge, but then I remembered that with Human Pyramids, you almost always go by size and weight rather than managerial and leadership skills and this pyramid is no different. The guy on top is really small and doesn’t look like someone the rest would look up to. Which naturally leads us to consider the big strong men at the bottom of the pyramid. Two of whom are actually working hard keeping the pyramid steady and one who’s clearly not pulling his weight as far as this pyramid goes, but he does seem to have the weight of the groups’ hopes and dreams on his shoulders. The Hang Loose guy is definitly the leader.

    I think man-on-top and Hang Loose are both red herrings. It’s the chick. All of those guys look like dorks, so they do whatever that girl says, in the hopes of getting into her pants.

    the girl is so in charge. you can tell all the guys love her. and it’s so obvious that their attempts to woo her via music have gone unnoticed. either way, she’s the leader.

    These idiots are in a band? Wow.

    Okay. uh–I’ll go with long-arm red-headed guy. Normally, I’d go with the chick in these situations (all guys/one girl bands) but in this case, I think she’s way too low-key to be in charge; she’s probably some music major who plays keyboards for the band so they could “explore that oevre” or something like that.

    The guy at the apex, I would have thought. I don’t think there’s much to choose between them in terms of looks or coolness. Tattooed Proclaimers look-alike is the rebellious son of well-off tory parents who own the English country house with manicured lawns.

    i think i learned the algorithm. the leader is usually the one, whose eyes are most clearly visible and the one who looks more extravert. and in some cacses the one whos face is wide rather then triangle.

    I was thinking that green shirt guy was the creative force – and a little shy in front of the camera, but I’m going to go with white t-shirt guy on the bottom left. He looks like he knows what he wants, and the rest are just there for character.

    good analysis skills going on here… Human Pyramid politics, being what they are, automatically rule out top guy as was mentioned by Jillian and others.
    Bottom three are the weight bearers. Of those 3, red-headed step-child is automatically out. devil-horns reminds me of the party drunk passed out in the front yard that we prank by building a pyramid around him. He’s trying to act like he’s in on the fun, but it’s a feeble attempt. Bottom left is strong silent type. he’s the muscle but NOT the leader.
    One hot chick (good call, beckeye) among a group of geeky guys always has ultimate control but…
    The leader of this group is green t-shirt guy who organized the whole pyramid so that he could be next to hot chick.

    Well, any redhead who choses to wear a red t-shirt is clearly calling ALL attention to himself. He wants you to recognize that he’s the one you need to talk to about bookings, PR, and contracts. The red head is in charge here.

    Top of the pyramid guy is definitely out, as many have previously mentioned. Green shirt isn’t even looking into the camera–he is looking at whatever is interesting to the right of him and is clearly not sure enough of himself to lead a band. The same goes for red shirt red hair who is looking at the camera, but hiding behind his hair. The rock hand/devil horn dude really wants to be noticed but his eyes are closed. No true leader would be cool with that picture representing them. So, that leaves the chick and white shirt, who I think are brother and sister and both in charge, although she is a little more in charge.

    any guy on the bottom of a pyramid is, by default, not in charge. guy on top is too weak to hold anyone up. green shirt is embarrassed to be there, rightfully so. the chick’s in charge.

    Carrot top, bottom right, is in charge.

    The chick is sleeping with him and therefore thinks that she’s actually pulling the strings. But she tied a sweater around her neck for a photo that involved a human pyramid. I’m sure she’s always complaining how cold it is in the studio. This isn’t a person in charge. It’s someone who’ll be replaced as soon as Carrot Top finds a lower maintenance “friend” to play the tambourine and sing backup.

    I’m guessing they’re trying to represent the food chain pyramid. In which case the second tier devours the bottom row and then the guy at the top leisurely grazes on the second row.

    My theory: Top Guy, the ultimate predator.

    ALright, this is a tough one. THey’re all such good kids and you guys all have good points. I agree that the bottom middle is the drummer, but that does not mean he’s not in charge. He knows all the other bands and folks that work at clubs. Without him, the band is a bunch of squares, but I do have to ask, if he were in charge, would he pick all these other squares to be in his band? I’m going with the young woman.

    I do go with Mr Apex, although his diminutive size may be a contributing factor, I note his direct gaze into camera and do believe that his fixed smile is a mask to hide his domineering power, and not sheer terror that dipstick at the bottom is making stupid hand signs again, thus putting the whole structure in peril.
