I'm going against the tide and voting for far left with the scarf – did you notice the heads imprinted on it? I just can't see who they are and who is in the picture HE is holding?

besides the editors at tiger beat magazine who were in charge of promoting these bands, the member to the farthest right in each band is in charge. swell maps' leader because of his huuuuuge grin; t-rex-n-roses' leader because of the threat level of the shoulder pads.

I would like to agree with Aashish soni and royal in saying that your post was nicely done and a good read for me.

Now that we got that out of the way:

the guy on the right with the leopard skin print, though in an inferior position to front-and-center, is confident enough to wear leopard skin print. He's in charge.

As for the band in the photo: I'm going to venture a guess that it's one of the many incarnations of T Rex and that the guy in charge is on the far right (giving a clue as to who's in charge in Swell Maps). His face is completely bleached out of the photograph, indicating that he's too powerful to appear in photographs.
